I just answered my own question! In the previous post I asked for recommendations of TV shows to watch over the break -- immediately following pressing publish on that I saw the second and final trailer for the next season of Industry sitting on my desktop and remembered, "Oh shit right I want to catch up on Industry since they are teasing us really really hard with Kit Harington doing some gay shit with Max Minghella." The first trailer that dropped a month ago showed Kit getting necked on by some dude and we were already sold, but this latest one makes it clear said dude is Max and...

... we're even more sold. I gotta get on this, though -- there are three seasons already out there and this fourth one starts on January 11th. I got a lot of comments on my previous post about how good Industry is so I won't bother asking that again -- so just so I have something to say can I say that Kit Harington makes every cell in my body vibrate? He does. He really, really does. Here's the trailer:

The Heated Rivalry Boys Heat Up GQ

Since I really have nothing new to add to the Heated Rivalry discussion that I haven't said in our previous posts on the hot queer hockey romance, since as I said previously I'm saving the show for a good stiff binge over the holiday break, let's take a couple of side-jaunts now here that we have the show's breakout stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams reenacting controversial those Calvin Klein pornography advertisments on the cover of GQ magazine -- okay maybe this first thing isn't a side-jaunt because... WHAT? I'd heard this show had been building as a word-of-mouth hit but who could've foreseen this level of steamy gayness front and center in American Culture? The cover of GQ? 

I did not think I'd live to see the day, honestly. (And it is still early in the day, given the way of the world, so let's not get ahead of ourselves too far.) But by all accounts this show's really busted into the mainstream in a way most gay shit does not -- they talked about it on The View! Which yes means a big part of this is that straight women are enjoying it, but that really is a shift in culture -- that straight American women are openly, happily admitting that the sight of two men in flagrente doesn't gross them out now.  Even a decade ago this was not the case. (Well except one of my good friends. You know who you are, darlin!) 

Anyway that's cool. The other thing, the actual side-jaunt I wanted to take, was -- what shows should I watch over the break? I have this one, I have Pluribus, I have Boots (RIP Boots). I know there are even more but I'm blanking. Generally just assume I haven't seen anything new lately and recommend me some stuff to watch over the break. And in return I'll gift you all these photos after this break...

Dunno how I missed these but Him hottie Tyriq Withers was kind enough to share yet another batch of behind-the-scenes photos and videos over the weekend and I think they're right up our alley -- as long as I don't have to sit through that not-good movie again and can be greeted by its highlights (all seen above) then we're good. That's as good a holiday present as any! (On that sidenote today is MNPP's last day til January 5th. Prepare yourselves.) Make Us Warm on a Cold Day, Callum Turner

Possibly my favorite of the current Bond-rumor-hunks Callum Turner (apologies to Aaron Taylor-Johnson but have you seen Callum's ears? Well have you?) hit the beach with his bride-to-be Dua Lipa this past weekend in Mexico, and somehow photographers managed to find them and take photographs of them (via) whilst they were being sexy and loving on their vacation! Scandal! Intrusion! However did this happen? Alert the police! Get me Scotland Yard stat! Okay okay I wrung that bit dry -- so let's get ourselves wet again with some more of these photos after the jump...

Lewis Pullman Four Times

Momentarily I thought maybe it could be considered a spoiler for Mona Fastvold's magnificent film The Testament of Ann Lee to share that the character Lewis Pullman is playing in it is a big ol' 'mo. But I decided instead that one, while it's not an inconsequential note re: the film's themes it's also barely there, and sharing it won't ruin the movie for you in any way, I don't think. It's not some explosive revelation with regards to his character, but it does add to and underline the film's ideas about the Shakers as a community of misfits in their day. That said number two, and more importantly, I thought sharing this tidbit of information might get one or two of you who mightn't otherwise to go and see the two-plus hour musical about a bizarre religious sect. And that's what we want! Because I really love this movie and I'm not entirely sure I'll be properly reviewing it at this point, what with the holiday looming ahead. It's a great movie! Go see it! On a big screen if you can, as it very much demands a big screen. I watched it at home first and I liked it, but then I saw it a second time in 70mm and it blew my brain through the back of my head. Okay so which one of you went to see Avatar: Fire and Ash this weekend? I know it was just one of you, and that you, a single person, went and saw it three hundred million times, hence its box office haul. Fess up! Even after I told you it is boring as fungus you didn't listen. Well I don't hold grudges (ha) so I hope whoever it was amongst you were at least able to enjoy all of the "Jack Champion in a wet loicloth" action that the movie contains, focusing as it does so much more on the character of Champion's Spider. See -- I didn't mention that detail in my review because I didn't want to give any of you a single reason to go! But I failed. Happy holidays, I am a failure. That's the gift that greets me every year! Aaaanyway it is indeed Xmas Week and it's gonna be a short one -- I'll only be here today and tomorrow and then I'm off until January 5th! Wowza that's a nice chunka change. So let's get to it, making the next 48 hours disappear as fast as we can then! (Oh and for your googling sake the shots here of Jack pumping up his tighty-whities is from some 2025 movie called Everything's Going to Be Great -- hysterically the top pictures on IMDb are all from this scene! I guess this scene is why the movie got made, released, and will ever be remembered at all.)

Smoke Em If Ya Got Em, Brandon Sklenar

I cannot speak personally pro or anti this weekend's thriller film The Housemaid because I had to miss my screening of it when I fucked up my ankle a couple weeks back -- all I've heard are mixed things though, and those mixed things trend toward the "It's not nearly as campy as it needs to be" so I'm not exactly running out to see it myself. But when it hits streaming? Sure. Probably. I love Amanda Seyfried (who gives a tremendous performance in her other Winter 2025 movie The Testament of Ann Lee). And this marks the third photoshoot (via) of noted hunk Brandon Sklenar that we've posted here at MNPP (see here and see here) so clearly he's in the plus column as well. Anyway it probably won't be as much torture as I found the latest Avatar movie (the other movie out this weekend) to be, so there's that. 

Oh and I guess Bradley Cooper's Is This Thing On? is also out today but I have nothing to say about that movie -- less than nothing. I saw it during NYFF and it left zero point zero percent of an impression on me. Completely forgettable hetero nonsense that totally wastes Laura Dern. Blergh! All that said you might wonder why I'm running through all the movies out this weekend here on a Thursday... well it's because I just found out right this very minute that my office will be closed tomorrow. So it's looking like a three-day weekend for moi! Huzzah! And then next week's a two day week, and then I'm off for nearly two weeks! I'm not saying this to rub it in your face... I'll leave it to Brandon to rub things in your face. Happy weekend!

Callum Turner Two Times

Shame on me for missing these photos of the dreamboat Callum Turner in Vanity Fair a couple of weeks back -- in my defense I thought that everything I'd been seeing in that issue, which included a slew of current H'wood heartthrobs, looked like shit. Just terrible photography all around. These Callum shots must've dropped after I'd already given up on the issue -- my bad. Anyway what do y'all think about the Janes Bond rumors that have attached themselves to Callum? ("Attached themselves to" most likely meaning "his people have floated the rumor everywhere they can.") Since I didn't watch any 007 movies until Daniel Craig was hired (and then I went back and watched a couple of the older ones after that) I can't say I have a huge attachment to the franchise or the character -- I'd rather see five more Atomic Blonde movies, personally. But I'm also of the mind that Callum is hot as fuck so sure, give him a franchise where he can play the sexy hero in nice clothes and perhaps a blue speedo. I cannot find holes in that logic. (I wouldn't be angry if they gave him that slutty blond hair he had in George Clooney's Boys in the Boat movie either.)

A very happy 79th birthday to the one the only Steven "Stevie" Spielberg! 79's not exactly the world's most interesting number -- although given how exhausting a single year feels these days making it through seven-nine of these bitches is an accomplishment, I'll give him that -- so why am I picking him among the list of celebrity birthdays today to celebrate in particular? Because it gives me an excuse to post the teaser trailer for Disclosure Day, his next movie -- yes this dropped two days ago and surely if you've wanted to watch it by now but since it stars Josh O'Connor AND Colman Domingo I feel as if it needs to have its spot here at MNPP. 

What do we think? I think for one I want to see absolute nothing else about this -- I want to maintain all the rest of the mystery; I wanna go in with all the questions that two minutes of footage posits. I will say that if I had to guess this is a "good" alien movie a la Close Enocounters and E.T. though -- a forceful reclamation of optimism in the face of so much not-optimism in the world right now feels very Spielberg to me, and this movie is based on an "original idea" from Spielberg himself. Thoughts?

When Paul Anthony Kelly was cast as John F. Kennedy Jr. in Ryan Murphy's upcoming series about the late lamented John-John's romance with Carolyn Bessette we took note that his Instagram account only had 400 followers and said it'd be interesting to note how many he had in a few months -- well he's over 7000 now, which still seems kinda low, but then the series (which is called American Love Story, presumably marking it as a spin-off anthology in the vein of American Horror Story) doesn't premiere until February. Press is just now kicking off it seems, starting with this photoshoot and interview with Mr. Kelly for Interview Magazine -- read it here. My guess is once the show premieres his follower count will really take off. Because follower counts are all that matter, yo! Anyway...

... dude is obviously crazy-handsome but I'm still not really seeing JFK Jr. -- seeing as how that's basically an impossible task though I will give him the benefit of the doubt until the show actually premieres. What I'm more worried about is whether he can act, seeing as how he's really a model, with next to no experience. The interview itself is fairly boring so I still have no clue, but I had missed a lot of the casting announcements which he mentions -- Grace Gummer is playing Caroline and Naomi Watts is playing Jackie! Oh, I do remember posting that Alessandro Nivola is playing Calvin Klein, now that I see that listed. (Hot.) Anyway guess we'll find out in a couple of months. Pierre Niney Five Times

Usually when I post two different photoshsoots of one actor within the span of a week it's because they've got a big new movie coming out, but with Pierre Niney here it appears to mainly be the fact that he's doing a modeling campaign for Lacoste that's happily putting him in front of us so much. (See the previous post of pictures from last Friday right here.) Fine by me! I will accept the flimsiest of excuses, hell no excuse at all, for more Pierre. It's wild that Gregg Araki's Kaboom turned 15 this year, isn't it? WILD. But that's not why we're here -- we're here (and we're queer) because it's Gregg Araki's birthday today! His 66th if you can believe that shit -- and knowing him (via his movies only, unfortunately) he's probably excited about the whole devil number thing. As excited as any gay man can be about turning 66 I suppose but hey, dude's been looking 20 years younger for decades -- he's winning.

Anyway I've seen stills from the above 1992 interview with Araki (because he looks extremely slutty and hot in it) but never the entire interview, so finding out that somebody uploaded the entire thing onto YouTube is a treat! I'll watch that over my lunch-break and you should join me. 2026 will bring us Araki's first film since White Bird in a Blizzard ELEVEN years ago -- his perfect series Now Apocalypse is sandwiched in between there but it's still a nightmare of an extended break from having Araki-goodness in our lives so let's hope that I Want Your Sex is the start of a fresh cycle of movies.

I was actually forced to delete my post sharing that image from IWYS last week via an actual email from an actual fucking lawyer -- I think it was Sundance freaking out about the image leaking a day early but I didn't leak it! It was everywhere. But there it is now, reposted, now that Sundance has had their EXCLUSIVE (not exclusive) day in the sun with it. Can't wait to see the movie anyway! And in summation, will somebody put Kaboom out on 4K (or even just blu-ray) already? It's another movie of Araki's that's gone totally under-served on physical media -- it's ridiculous how much a pain in the ass they're still making it to watch his movies properly! Thank the heavens for the box-set of his "Teen Apocalypse Trilogy" that Criterion finally dropped after years of my shrieking about it.)

Bitter Christmas, By Pedro

The first poster, the usual gorgeous design feast, for Pedro Almodovar's next movie has arrived (via) -- the movie is called Bitter Christmas (aka Amarga Navidad) and it;s hitting Spain on March 20th. After his brief sojourn over here in the States with two short films and a feature he's back to his comfort place with Spanish actors and language -- this stars Bárbara Lennie as a woman who is abandoned over the holidays by her partner (the gorgeous Leonardo Sbaraglia, who you should remember from that time...

... he made out with Antonio Banderas in Pain and Glory.) Also in this film, and tipping the Hot Dude quotient sky-high, is Quim Gutiérrez -- insanely I have only posted about Quim once here at MNPP with this photoshoot here, but my god he has deserved better. I should be posting Quim content every other day. I mean...
