As I state basically every time I share a new horror movie trailer I have not watched this trailer myself because I have stopped watching almost all movie trailers but most especially ones for horror movies -- they always spoil too much. But I do want to toss this movie on your radar -- and share that photo of Mason Gooding while I'm at it because duh. So here's a post about a horror movie trailer all the same, and y'all can make your own adult choices about whteher to watch it or not. The film is called Heart Eyes...
... and it's a new Valentine's Day Slasher (out one week earlier on February 7th) from the great director-actor Josh Ruben, who's previously gifted us with the terrific horror movies Scare Me and Werewolves Within (not to mention acting in the terrific horror movieA Wounded Fawn). Here's what else I know about Heart Eyes even though I didn't watch this trailer -- it stars Gooding alongside Jordana Brewster and scream king Devon Sawa, and it was co-ritten by Michael Kennedy (of Freaky and It's a Wonderful Knife fame) and... that's it. The end. That's all I know. But Ruben has a hella proven track record so I'm sold. Here's the trailer, do as you like:
As I said Heart Eyes is out on February 7th -- it's nice to have a new V-Day horror movie, right? I was just thinking the other day that it's really weird that we never got a sequel to the original 1981 version of My Bloody Valentine, one of the greatest Slasher Movies ever made and which birthed one of the most iconic looking Slasher Villains, with its deranged miner Harry Warden, only to never capitalize on him again. Hell even the 2009 remake could've used a sequel -- there were far worse horror remakes in the Aughts than that one. And yes I have somehow come out swinging for TWO Aughts-era horror remakes today (along with House of Wax this morning) -- is something in the air or what? Have I been bitten by the nostalgia bug for Aughts shit like everybody else? Oh dear.
A happy 42nd birthday to obscenely pretty actor Robert Ri'chard from Coach Carter and the tee-riffic House of Wax remake (yes the one with Paris Hilton -- shut up, it's good!) plus a few episodes of Veronica Mars and then basically a lot of single episodes of many, many shows that you know. We have mentioned Robert here on the site before since you might recall he was the lead in that Magic Mike rip-off Chocolate City that came out in 2015 -- actually I wouldn't blame you if you didn't remember that, it was a pretty forgettable movie. But it gave me a good post full of good gifs at least! I recommend you also check out RR's Instagram account -- he isn't afraid to still bring the gratuity.
Oh looky it's another photoshoot that dropped over the holiday break that I haven't gotten around to posting! The ridiculously stunning Aaron Pierre, star of Jeremy Saulnier's highly entertainingRebel Ridge and Barry Jenkins' masterpiece The Underground Railroad, was photographed and interviewed in Interview Magazine -- read the interview part here. In my belated defense the photos -- save the one above (swoon) -- are kind of boring, or as boring as looking at Aaron Pierre can be (so... not much) and so I wasn't in the biggest rush with them. But today I was ogling that shot above (swoon times two) and decided that the time has arrived! Hit the jumpfor everything...
Not to overdo it with Andrew Garfield this week (much to my hater boyfriend's chagrin no doubt -- although he did give Andy a compliment last night saying that "the beard makes his face less disgusting" lol; unlike me he's not a fan!) but I loved the green Versace suit he wore to the Globes. And our boy knew he looked good and he was slutting it up like nobody's business...
... with all the extra cleavage emphasis. So we're giving him this little spotlight, our boyfriend be damned! I'm actually really posting now because I forgot to mention the Globes at all in this morning's Andy post, even though I watched the whole damned thing -- did anybody else watch? Winner of the night to my eye was Demi for that truly lovely speech she gave. And our beloved Tadanobu Asano of course!

I've pointed out before that W Magazine seems to alternate their "Performances of the Year" photoshoots by the year between classy boring images and then really psychotic garbage -- well we're in a classy year as the above photo of Paul proves... not that he isn't giving me dirty thoughts all the same. Such is his power! I do find it weird that all of the men are over-dressed in full suits while 95% of the women are in their underwear though. And this is coming from a gay photographer! WTF Judas. Old photos, practically ancient -- all the way back to the start of December! A month ago! But somehow I totally 100% missed this profile of Robert Pattinson in the New York Times Style Magazine -- but since our Bat-boy is wearing leather pants no matter how many of you have already caressed these photos with your eyeballs they gotta get themselves posted. I imagine this slab o' press was pre-scheduled for when Rob's movie with Bong Joon-ho Mickey17 was meant to come out in January, but then the damned movie moved on the calendar yet again -- now it's coming out in March. Or so they say! They keep Lucy-with-the-football'ing it down the road. Actor Jack O'Connell seems to be one of those actors who has it written into his contract that he has to get naked in everything he does -- that, plus his acting talent, are why we love him! The latest round of the laddy's exhibitionism's taken place on his BBC series Rogue Heroes (from writer Steven Knight, the same man who gave us Tom Hardy naked in Taboo and Viggo Mortensen naked in Eastern Promises - never forget!) and it's not just Jack -- it's an entire pack of (to namecheck yet another Knight opus) Dirty Pretty Things in their altogethers. The lovely folks over at Vinegar Syndrome have been making this transition towards the 2025 hellscape land softer than it ought to thanks to their dropping OF some truly substantial physical medias upon us -- last month they brought us the forever unreleased Diane Keaton. masterpiece Looking For Mr Goodbar in 4K, and this month they're gifting us with Gregg Araki's stoner comedy Smiley Face starring Anna Faris! If you've been around here at MNPP HQ for awhile then surely you've heard me going off about my love for this movie more than once -- I'm not a "Stoner Comedy" person in the slightest but I adore this one and the shitty DVD has been out-of-print for ages. Pre-order it at this link! It's the little things that will hopefully get us through these difficult times and if I have to devour an entire plate of pot cupcakes to do it then so be it.
I don't know what's more exciting -- the news I'm about to share or the fact that Sebastian Stan finally cut his hair off! (I am of the mind that he looks much hotter with shorter hair.) Let's tell the news and then you can decide for yourselves -- Sebastian is going to star in the new movie from Snowtown / Macbeth / True History of the Kelly Gang director Justin Kurzel! (And I know Kurzel is married to the great Essie Davis but the man has a very bisexual eye when it comes to making his leading men look sizzling hot.) Based on the true story told in the book called Burning Rainbow Farm (and that will be the film's title) it tells the tale of two gay men...
... named Tom Crosslin and Rollie Rohm who built a hippie stoner utopia in Mighigan, only to go to war with the government over it. I guess it was a big story that got obscured by 9/11 but I have never heard about it -- have you? Anyway Gay Sebastian! Who do we think will play his boyfriend? I'm not sure who's who in that picture above but I have to assume Seb will be the stoner on the right. Oh and further Seb news -- in that same link he says he's also going to star in the next movies from Romanian master Cristian Mungiu(probably best known for the movie 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days but I love love loved his last film R.M.N.) as well as Danish superstar Christian Tafdrup (who made the original Speak No Evil). The man has taste!
